Today's letter to my congressman

I, too, am in favor of the core provisions of HR 1591, but I am extremely concerned over the unrelated added expenditure categories. What was the rationale among the bill's managers for this? I certainly hope there was no "pork" for [our state] in the final version sent to the Senate.

Is there any way, in your opinion, that this kind of "business as usual" can be stopped?
